A good story spoilt by atrocious spelling and grammar errors. Too many times I had to reread a sentence to work out a missing word or to make sense of what was meant. When I purchased this it was free, now it's $4. Unless the author has since had this proof read and all the errors fixed, I would not buy this. This is a pity because the story is a good one.Product details

This is the second book by this author I have read, and really liked it as much as the first one, Belial. Mind-Fire is totally different than Belial, which was a very dark, bloody, and gloomy horror novel. Mind-Fire is more of a sci-fi / techno-thriller story. Imagine if Dean Koontz and Tom Clancy got together over a long weekend, drank a bottle of tequila, and wrote a novel together - you get the idea. I can honestly say that I've not read anything else quite like it. The idea of a re-animated Nazi war criminal (whom I looked up - he was very scary person in real life!) matching wits with a genetically engineered super-intelligent woman seems crazy, but it really worked for me. It's interesting how you meet characters in the beginning of the story and then curiously seem to disappear, only to show back up later at critical times. If you are into cliff-hangers, spies, aliens, Nazis, and conspiracies, then you will really like this book. I dock it one star, since it seems like it went on a little too long, but it was never boring. On a feminist note, women readers will really like the heroine, since these kind of thrillers seldom feature strong women protagonists. This one is off the scale on that point.
Great idea but a little too hokey. Sloppy editing and over the top hyperbole...kept hoping it would get better but it didn't.
